Papercut Illustration

The process of papercut illustration requires a steady hand and great precision, as well as the ability to think through your final product in “layers.” The primary tools I use for this technique include a wooden stylus (think a scratch-off paper tool), Xacto blade, and a self-healing mat. For assembly of the illustrations in “The Colors Danced,” I used Xyron Sticker Maker tools. Incidentally, I use these same tools for my personal scrapbooking projects.
